Lonoikamakahiki! Makahiki season is upon us and Papa 5 is working even harder to reach their goals in 2018! We are preparing for Makahiki competitions as a few of us will represent Kualapuʻu on Saturday, January 27th. The keiki have been fortunate to experience and see the original Makahiki grounds at Naʻiwa as well, the first for all! And patiently awaiting the visit by Ke Kula Kaiapuni ʻo Hauʻula! We have also been diving into our Science Standards and Digital Bus Curriculum by visiting Waikolu/Kamakou Preserve with Aunty Penny Martin/TNC, learning about Native and Invasive plants here on Molokaʻi. Along with that, completing their State projects this quarter in Social Studies as well. With all that is going on, the keiki are excited to compose and choreograph their own mele and hula for our annual Hana Keaka coming up! E holomua kākou!
